Choices

I choose to nap! (see entry below) But did it happen, not really. I laid down for about 10 minutes and the phone rang, I am terrible about just letting the machine get it, and it was a call I had been waiting for. About 10 minutes later Heidi woke up. I was able to convince her to stay in her room another half hour playing so I could at least rest half asleep. I did get my tomatoes finished too, we were a little late to AWANA but they got done!

Last night AWANA was Bible character dress up night. I asked Heidi out of the whole Bible who would she like to be. It will not be a surprise to many of you that she chose pregnant Mary. Daddy's old T-shirt, a few fabric scraps and of course a pillow which has now been dubbed "the baby Jesus" and wa-la!

Unfortunately most people didn't realize it was a girl under that hood and everyone thought she was a fat shephard. It didn't upset her any, she loved that fact that she was "pregnant." I kept hearing funny statements like "I can't do the running games because I have a baby in my tummy" and "Baby Jesus is going to pop out in a couple minutes!"

Clara also had her one year check up yesterday. OK, everyone knows she is small but hold onto your seats for this one! She weighs 15lbs 10oz and is 27 and a half inches tall! She is and official itty-bitty! They said she is healthy and well proportioned, just small. There are a lot of short genes in the family. Of her 4 great-grandmothers and the one great-great-grandmother who we know the hight of, 4 of the 5 are under 5 feet tall! Some of this is due to age, but they were small. We also found out Heidi is up to a whopping 34 pounds, and I am down to - well less than I was before and I'll leave it at that.

Love the pregnant Mary costume! Grace wanted to be a princess so Queen Esther was as close as she got. I've got small babies as well but not quite as itty bitty as yours! At least the doctor says she's well proportioned and doesn't seem concerned. I've got poor Ethan on a "stuffed like a Thanksgiving turkey" diet for the next month hoping to fatten him up enough for the ped's approval.
