Now is the time to buy Band-aid stock!

Why? You ask, why is now the time to invest in Band-aid? Because I have a sneaking suspicion that the stock will jump several points tomorrow. This is not Jeff the financial planner talking to you, it is not Jeff the wood splitting hero, in fact it is not Jeff in any form. This is his klutz of a wife coming to you today saying Band-aid stock will jump simply because of the amount of their product we seem to need on hand.

While we're on the topic of hands (see last word above) that reminds me, my hands hurt! I am currently sporting three Band-aids with the need for a fourth coming. "Gasp," you say, "what has happened!" Well it all started Sunday night when I was trying to slice a pomegranate for dinner, it was over ripe (when they are over ripe their skin is rock hard) and oops with a knife I gashed my left ring finger right at the edge of the nail deep enough to send me into shock. Ouch number one.

Then last night I was slicing apples to make dried apple rings with our mandolin slicer and oops my right thumb followed the apple a little to far and a one inch cut showed up. Ouch number two!

The double dose came this afternoon when I was doing some crafty things with my high temp glue gun. I was trying to work quickly to get glue all the way around something before it had a chance to dry and it dripped onto my left thumb, it really hurt. In a panic, I threw the project onto the table, getting glue on the table and my other hand. I grabbed the big glob of really hot glue on my thumb and pulled. This resulted in a quarter inch circle of skin ripping off the back of the thumb and a blister on the tip of my right middle finger. Ouch numbers three and four as soon as that blister pops!

Consequently, I have used up every Band-aid I can find in the house (except the three inch square ones and the tiny baby ones you never know what to do with) including the stash in my purse and the pirate printed ones.

I have discovered it is much harder to accomplish daily tasks with only six good fingers. Jeff is considering setting up a call list to have people check up on me every hour.

What is the most separate little injuries you have had in a week? What do you do with tiny Band-aids? Do you have anything sharp or hot that you need to have tested, I do still have six good fingers? And on second though, maybe you shouldn't invest in Band-aid, I'll probably be cheap and buy generic!
