Another on bites the dust!

Remember the lovely green that had a glorious peach death last month? Well there was only one other room in our entire house that was painted a color other that white when we moved in, it was another lovely green. Someday I will eventually show you pictures of the other beautiful bedrooms I have bathed in color, but not today. Today is the day you get to see the death of heinous green number two! Most of those little white spots are small holes that had to be patched, I think the previous residents had a love affair with staplers. And the green paint would start peeling and just keep going - great. But wait it gets better! To fully pull the room the previous residents decided to paint the interior of the closet a very thin coat of a lovely purple.
Just emptying the room was a feat of its own. I sadly cannot find any pictures of the six foot pile that once occupied the majority of this room, but believe me it was very real.

This room has served many purposes over the last year. Guest room (on the floor), office, but mostly place to put everything we didn't have a place for. The room will now be serving the purpose of "sisters room", Odessa's sister Kayla is moving in for a while. Really most of the transforming work had to be done anyway just so she could actually live in the room. It took me the better part of 3 days to prep the room and only 6 hours to paint it (once again thanks to my friend Sue!) so it really wasn't that much more work. And now listen as heinous green gives its final screams under the squelching foot of soothing blue.
I missed getting pictures before my sis started moving in, but hey the room was done on time!

We choose the blue because it should fit any of the many ideas we have for the future of the room. It would be a very soothing TV den or make a lovely room for our some day adopted son. Much more versatile than lime green, don't you think?

Very nice. The people who lived in our house before us also like purple. Our bathroom was the shade of your closet as well as all the moldings in the bedrooms. Purple moldings, with green shag carpet and plaid wallpaper. It was lovely. Needless to say, I LOVE paint transformations to tranquil colors. Good work!

I have to say the green was a little too "lime" and "nuclear" for my taste but the blue is very nice. It's always exciting to see what a difference a bucket of paint can make!
