Oh dear, it's been over a week.

You would have though I was still canning or something with my lack of posts as of late, but nay. Really I have no excuse.

The biggest event we have had as of late was the ladies fancy Christmas dessert that I was on the steering team for. Meaning we were in charge of getting the dessert and all of the decorating. I think we had close to 500 wrapped boxes including the favors. As well as lit greenery swags around our whole church gym. It came off rather well. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring a camera, so sorry no pictures. Also, the same weekend was cookies by the pound, which in a moment of craziness I agreed to help cook for, and the annual craft boutique, which I also prepared several items for. Thank you Jeff for putting up with me last week, thank you mom for all your help, and thank you my lovely decorating committee and dessert servers!!

Other than that, here are a few highlights of the last week in photos.
Heidi sang in evening service, unforutuately none of the pictures are post worthy due to how far we had to zoom. She loved being on stage! Once everything was over for the week, we had a family movie night on Sunday, Clara really likes popcorn!
Here we are waiting for the parade of lights in Independence. It was a whole 4 or 5 floats long with Santa at the end. But it was totally worth it just to see how excited Heidi got, I seriously thought she was going to wet her self with excitement when she saw Santa on the fire truck!

After hanging out in the library with cookies and cider for awhile while the line died down, we finally got to Santa. Heidi wasn't sure what to do, and Clara, well she just wanted away from the 6 and a half foot man with a beard. This was seriously the tallest Santa I have ever seen.

And lastly, Ta-Da! Clara has figured out how to get onto Heidi's bed! She appartently does this by pushing the doll cradle over, crawaling in, then crawling onto the bed. Unfortunately she has now clue how to get down other than falling. Here she is recieving an xylophone lesson from Heidi.

Ethan loves to climb into Grace's toddler bed (looks exactly like Heidi's!) and also has a hard time getting down. His solution is to cry his head off until I come and rescue him.

The candle light dessert was beautiful too! Great job! Oh... and that parade... they hadn't shut down the road, and we found ourselves driving into the center of the parade. That was exciting!

The dessert was beautiful and delicious! It's so much fun watching their excitement! Jeremiah was running like crazy this morning because of the very light dusting of snow!
