A yellow sippy lid

Last night Clara was quite fussy and would not drink her milk at dinner. Usually she isn't the biggest milk fan, but she will drink it with dinner most days. Being cheap, I put the sippy in the fridg for the next day. This morning, I offered her the milk again. Before I even got it to her high chair she shook her head no and pushed the cup away when I gave it to her. Now I know she was really thirsty, what is the matter! I looked and it looked like the holes on the cheap push on lid may have been plugged from being bitten to much, so I tossed the yellow lid in the trash and stuck on a green one. She drank the milk just fine, no fuss. I kinda though that was strange, but oh,well maybe she was just to frustrated with trying with no results.

But at lunch I gave her some apple juice in another cheap cup with another yellow sippy lid - same thing! She LOVES apple juice and had been very excited when the pitcher came out of the fridg. She didn't even give the cup a try. I said, "Maybe you don't like yellow." As a statement - not a question. Clara replied, "Un-uh!" So I changed the lid. Sure enough she drank it down. Apparently all yellow sippy lids are bad.

Do your kids have any wierd quirks that showed up at a very young age?

Babies/kids are funny what they get stuck in their heads. Emma used to cry like crazy if I tried to dress her in red. She was really tiny, like 4 or 5 months. As soon as I gave up and put something else on her she immediately calmed down. She still doesn't like to wear red very much (unless it is her red coat then it is OK). Mandy has a strange quirk where she can't have her sippy on the tray with her food. She hands me her bowl, even when she isn't finished, I hand her her sippy, she takes a drink and we make the trade and she continues eating. Not the hugest deal in the world, but odd I'd say. Their little personalities are showing themselves

Jeremiah would be horrified that someone didn't like yellow! It's his favorite.
