I am woman...hear me roar.

It seems that I have been in touch with my more manly side lately. With the many jobs we have to do around the house and the time they need to be done in,I have needed to help in some new areas. I feel I have gone where many house wives have not. Let me explain.

In the last week and a half I have:
  • Helped work on the re-roofing project (OK, most of it was errand girl and hours on the phone, but I was on the roof for over an hour yesterday to help with tear off and that has to count for something)
  • Driven my father-in-laws big ol' diesel all by myself (don't worry Larry, the truck is fine!)
  • Thrown as least a cord of fire wood with some of the pieces being up to 24 inches across (Jeff let me know that the ax was in the garage, but I'm not feeling quite that manly)
  • And the icing on the cake, I ran the chain saw for over an hour (OK, so I couldn't start it by myself, but I still cut a lot of wood)
Whew that makes me tired and sore in more places than I knew existed just thinking about it. I think I will go have a nice cup of tea and paint my toe nails just to balance out the testosterone!

FYI the roofing project is going well. the tear off is done and the guys have started laying the under layer. Not bad for 2 days for some silly kids who haven't done this before.Jeff hard at work.

I'm impressed! I'm pretty sure I wouldn't ever want to wield a chain saw. I'm way too much of a weenie. I hope the roofing project goes well!

Way to go! And I hope the rest of the roofing project goes well, too!

Great job... but I think you are definitely due for the toenail painting and tea drinking! We'll have to stop by soon and check out the progress. Don't worry, we won't make you have to get off the roof. Nothing more annoying that truly getting into the groove and then have to stop to converse! I've definitely been curious! We've done roofing before so if you need tips we can help out. We're just trying to get over the fundraising hump for MVCA and then we'll have a life again!
