Outings

Thought I would post a few pictures of some family outings we have had in the last couple of weeks. First we went to the Ag Fest in Salem at the end of April. It was the first year we have gone and we had a blast.
Here is Heidi riding a pedal tractor in the tractor races.
Heidi also got to take her first pony ride, Clara tried but was scare to death of them! Here is Heidi milking her first (cardboard) cow. Here is both of the girls "gettin' jiggy wid it" up on stage with Disney radio.

Then this last weekend we headed to Silver Creek Falls for mothers day. Jeff and I had not been since college days and I had forgotten how beautiful it is. We had a little bit of an adventure finding parking - it was packed! We then hiked to 3 different falls. Heidi was such a big girl and walked the whole time. Clara managed to stay safely strapped onto Daddy's back the whole time. (She did not like the spray from the falls, or the cliffs leading to some falls.) We figured the whole trip was about 2 miles! We managed to get a good family photo thanks to some fellow hikers. Here are the girls taking a little break. That is me and the girls way back behind one of the big falls.Heidi took this picture of us, and we are standing right in front of the water fall it is really hard to tell a 4 year old how to line up the camera to get the view!
Here is one of the beautiful falls.

It is a great time of year to go as everything is still so full and there is a good chance you will have nice weather. It is totally worth the drive, but there is a $3 fee for a day pass now - that is new since college days! That would have been too expensive back then, now it is a cheap day. We are moving up in the world.
