It has already been almost two years since we bought the house. Wow that went fast. The girls room was the first room that I painted and since they are growing and the room items need to keep up with them it has also gone through a few changes. Not total over hauls just new phases of the same base. It is all big girl now. No nursery items, no diapers, no baby toys. They are growing up. I think this phase is my favorite and I hope it sticks for awhile. But first, here is what I started with:

This is all of the toys that were in room - way to many. Since we still had may lingering baby toys and other broken/cheap/old/un-played with toys it was time for a full over haul. (Thanks Alysun for watching the girls so they wouldn't try to keep said broken/cheap/old/un-played with toys, they haven't miss much of it at all - unfortunately they discovered where I hid the "get rid ofs")

This is all the clothes that my children own from sizes just to small for Clara to fits Heidi. Way to many!
And now for the fun pictures!

Toys all organized! Everything now fits on the shelves or under Heidi's bed. Yeah!!

Clothes all put away or saved for later!

And we are now set for 2 princesses! And when Clara is ready for a twin bed we can just switch it out.

This is a piece of art I put together from random pieces of supplies I had around the house. We pray this blessing over the girls each night, so it seemed fitting.
While the room was all torn apart I also got baseboards up. You know a room is finished when the baseboards go on right?

Hey, what did you do with all those broken toys? I am wondering because we have something called the "Box of Wonders" at school where the students have to come in and get a "wonder" from the box and spend the first three minutes of class sketching it in their sketchbooks. At first we asked students to bring in their trash items (wrong idea)but instead of bringing things like broken toys, they brought in used klean-x and empty gum wrappers. Though these items could be interesting.... not what I was looking for, hence the name change from the trash box to the box of wonders. Anyways, if you have broken baby toys that you would like to part with (once loved wonders), I can totally take them off your hands.
Nice work! I LOVE the girls' beds with the princess netting :-)
I love the princess touches. Very nice. Pairing down feels so good.
