Clara turns 3....a month ago

This is a little late...Clara's actual birthday was October 15th. I know I am behind, but I still wanted to share pictures and jot down a few facts about this lovely little lady.

On her actual birthday we were treated to a day at a near by pumpkin patch that rivals an amusement park called Bauman Farms - seriously worth what it cost to get in. We ended up being there 5 hours and still didn't get to enjoy all the attractions that they offer!

Clara was also able to get her first brain freeze on an addicting apple cider slushy, pick out a huge Belgium mum for the family, and discover Brussels sprouts on the vine (which she loves by the way). We had to save some energy for dinner with Odessa's family at the Willamette Noodle Company, a new favorite restaurant.

The next morning we had a pumpkin princess party. I got the idea when I saw all the cute pumpkin items that are out during this time of year. We also had an orange flower girl dress that was Heidi's at about this same age....or so I thought. I searched high and low and couldn't find the dress! Of course a pumpkin princess had already been promised so I squeezed in making her a new dress the week before with pieces of fabric I already had and let her pick where everything should go. She loved the idea even more then!

With her pumpkin cake that had to be pink on the inside!

The pumpkin princesses!

Here are a few facts about Clara as a little girl, no longer a baby for sure!
  • she is 35 inches tall and 30 lbs
  • she has a very developed since of humor!
  • she loves to play games and setting them up.
  • she loves music and dancing, in fact the few things she has memorized are all to a tune
  • she prefers to wear dresses and to dress up
  • she has amazing balance (definitely not from mommy!)
  • she can't wait for her sister to come home from school everyday
  • she does not like to be alone, but prefers being home
  • she loves to snuggle and give kisses
We love you, are sweet little blessing!
